A mute button is used to temporarily turn off a microphone. When a user mutes the microphone, users on one end of the call will not hear any sound. However, users that muted the microphone will hear sound coming from the unmuted side. This article contains instructions on microphone mute via Yealink Teams Rooms touch panel controller, microphone device, and remote.

Touch Panel Controller

On the control panel, tap the microphone icon to mute and unmute all conference room microphones.

Microphone Device

On a microphone or microphone array, press the microphone button to mute and unmute all conference room microphones.

The ceiling microphones do not have a microphone button. Use the touch panel controller to mute.

Remote Control

Point the remote control to a camera and press the red microphone button to mute and unmute all conference room microphones.

Mute Attendee

Users can mute an attendee's microphone from the touch panel controller during an active meeting.

To mute and unmute attendees, tap the attendee's name, then tap the microphone icon.
