This article provides multiple methods on searching for applications on a Windows computer. Google Chrome is used as an example application for each method.
Method 1: Desktop Shortcut
This method is only available for users who have the application shortcut on users' desktops.
Double-click on the Google Chrome icon on the computer desktop.
Method 2: Windows Key - Keyboard Shortcut
- Press the Windows key on the keyboard. This key is located on the bottom left of the keyboard between the CTRL and ALT keys.
- Type "Google Chrome".
- Click to select the application, Google Chrome.
Method 3: Start Menu
- Click on the Start menu on the bottom left of the computer screen.
- Type "Google Chrome".
- Click to select the application, Google Chrome.
Method 4: Search Bar
- Click on the magnifying glass icon next to the Start menu on the bottom left of the computer screen.
- Type "Google Chrome", where it says Type here to search.
- Click to select the application, Google Chrome.
