The following steps will help you reset your Microsoft password. 


Password Reset 

  1. Go to Microsoft Sign in page. 
  2. Click on Forgot my password. 





  3. Enter the User ID and the characters displayed on the screen, then click on Next.



  4. Choose a contact method to receive a verification code.
    For this example, an alternate email address was used to receive the verification code.


  5. Retrieve the verification code sent from Microsoft through the chosen contact method.
  6. Enter the verification code in the text field and click on Next.



  7. Create and enter the new password in the Enter new password text field. Enter the new password again to Confirm new password.


  8. Click on Finish. 
  9. Go to the Sign in page and login using the new password.
